I am proud of our little school and diploma program in downtown Vancouver. The current faculty is excellent and dedicated, making for a great intensive program. This full-time 1-year course includes Beading, Metal Work, Classical and Computer Illustration, History, Marketing and more. Best of all, this is not a typical sterile school environment; term after term I watch unique friendships emerge in a relaxed, independently driven creative intercampus community.
Besides all the beading instruction I offer, students learn historical and current metal working skills, wax carving, the use of resin and mixed materials, business plan writing and the use of a variety of Adobe CS programs. Students get hands-on practical community-based experience in their field, such as Vancouver Fashion Week and the Portobello West Market. Photography is practiced immediately and throughout the program, so students have a vast portfolio when they graduate.
